William Webster Advertising Token
Featured is an old Token of a fellow coin dealer who once operated a business out of Great Russel Street in London. This was clearly used as a means of advertising the business, but, given the nature of his potential customers, may also have served as a collectable piece in its own right.
Although William Webster's business has been defunct for a long time, one of our more well-known fellow dealers famously operates a similar business in the same street. A fascinating piece, especially for those of us in the business of buying and selling coins and exonumisma.
