According to the informstion sheet which accompanies these sets, the coins feature the first makor coinage redesign in the countries 77 year history, and also both the smallest and largest circulating coins in the world. although it is difficult to imagine that the 20 Balboas were ever actually used in circulation. The two-and-a-half centesimo coin is also known as the "Panama Pill" because of its tiny size.
