In 2003, Monnaie de Paris celebrates the first anniversary of the Euro with an exceptional creation : the 1st Euro collector coin of 1 kilo silver. Delivery June - September.
En 2003, La Monnaie de Paris célèbre le 1er anniversaire de l'Euro avec une création exceptionnelle : le premier euro de collection, d'une valeur faciale de 50€, en argent de 1 kilo ! Attention : livrable juin - septembre 2003.

Description
This is an attractive and artistic coin. It comes packaged in a plastic capsule inside a very impressive wooden box.
The only thing we don't really like about this coin is its high issue price, but the Paris Mint seems to be able to sell plenty of its new issue coins at high prices. We managed to buy a small parcel of these at a very good price, and are happy to pass on the bargain as usual.
We just noticed that Shop at Home TV in the USA is asking $1,349.95 for these coins, plus £19.99 shipping!

Update - March 2016
We now only have one of these coins available and it does not come in a box with a certificate unfortunately.
