2008 sovereigns revert to a St. George and Dragon reverse. Issue limits for the uncirculated version may be kept at 75,000 while the issue limit for the proofs is 10,000 including those reserved for proof sets (if we can rely on the wording of the Royal Mint's certificates. This will also apply to the half sovereigns, and also to the gold proof £2 and £5 coins.

2008 Half Sovereigns
2008 half sovereigns will also revert the the St. George and Dragon design as the full sovereigns.

This looks an attractive design which we think will be popular.

2008 £5 Crown - Prince Charles' 60th Birthday
Previous issues of Prince Charles have not been initially popular, but have become harder to find when wanted.

2008 Silver Britannias
This year's Britannia has a new design featuring Britannia on the beach, with giant waves and a lighthouse in the background.

Australia First Again!
For a new country, at least relative to the UK, Australia certainly gets off the starting block quickly. The Aussies now traditionally beat us at cricket, swimming, rugby, shark-racing, skin cancer detection, beer drinking, sheep shearing (?), gold mining, and now... issuing coins.
Not only do the Perth Mint produce and issue its coins early, they release advance product information early, and manage to get the coins here from the opposite side of the earth quicker than we can get them from our own Royal Mint just down the road in Wales.
What's more, the production quality is superb, and the prices are competitive.

The First Coins of 2008! - Six Months Early
The very first coins of 2008 are to be the Lunar Calendar Silver Series, produced by the Perth Mint in Western Australia. To enable them to synchronise the gold and silver bullion series, not only will the 2008 "Year of the Rat" - Series I coins be issued earlier than usual, but also the 2009 Year of the Ox, and 2010 Year of the Tiger will be released at the same time.
We now have all these in stock.

Only produced in one ounce in the initital year of release, for 2008 they have released it in four sizes; 1 kg, 10oz, 1oz, and 1/2oz. We have all four sizes in stock now for immediate delivery.
