Australian Koala Silver Bullion Coins
The 2012 Koala will be available in four sizes, half ounce, one ounce, ten ounce and one kilo.
The release date for the 2012 Koala is the 1st December 2011, we expect to receive our first delivery shortly after.
Update - 22nd November 2011
The original release date was the 1st November 2011, however the Perth Mint then advised us that due to the demand for 2012 Dragons they were delaying the launch of the 2012 Koala until the 1st December 2011. Today we have received information from the Perth Mint advising that they are now delaying the launch of the 2012 Koala until January 2012.

One Ounce Silver Bullion Coins
Australia first issued a one ounce silver bullion coin, the Kookaburra, in 1990.
In 1999, it was decided to issue a silver Chinese Lunar Year series of silver bullion coins, following the success of the gold versions which started in 1996.
In 2007, the Perth Mint introduced another new silver bullion coin, which we believe will be very popular - Silver Koalas.
Initially, these were only produced in a one ounce version, but for 2012 they produced four sizes, as the new coins are proving popular. Koala bears have an image of being cute and cuddly, although we also believe that in common with most other wild animals, they can be fierce when disturbed or provoked. As they are equipped with strong claws, we would not like to upset one!
