The rim or box setting is particularly suitable for emeralds as they are a beautiful but slightly delicate gemstone, and it is sensible to set them in a style of mount which provides them with protection against accidental damage.
We have carried the rim setting through to the surrounding diamonds to create a classic but clean style, which is at the same time impressive because of its size and proportion, and elegant because of the simplicity of the styling.
For our stock, we would make this ring in 18 carat gold, with a white gold head and a yellow gold shank, but naturally we can make it in all yellow gold, all white gold, or all platinum as required.
