2002 Alderney Golden Jubilee Silver Proof Kilo Coin with Selective Gold Plating
In 2002, Alderney in the Channel Islands issued a one kilo sized silver proof coin, with fifty pound face value, to commemorate the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
This is obviously a large and impressive coin, with selective gold plating on both sides.

Alderney Coins
Alderney issued its own coins for the first time only in 1989, although it has only issued special commemorative and collector coins rather than circulating coins.
We usually have in stock at least a few Alderney coins. The mintage figures tend to be quite low, although perhaps this is to expected with a population of under 2,500.
