Falkland Islands

Falkland Islands issued its own coins for the first time only in 1974, both special commemorative coins and circulating coins.
We usually have in stock at least a few Falkland Islands coins. The mintage figures tend to be quite low, although perhaps this is to expected with a population of about 2,021

Fiji - $10

Fiji came under British control in 1874, and independent in 1970. Although it left the Commonwealth in 1987 when it became a republic following two military coups, but returned as a commonwealth member in 1997. Our selected coin celebrates the Queen's golden wedding anniversary in 1997, and shows the Queen and Prince Philip in front of Treetops.

Finland Suomi - Gold 20 Markaa

Finland was under Swedish control from the 12th to the 19th centuries, then under Russia from 1809 to 1917. The 20 Markaa in our photo clearly shows the Russian influence by the double headed eagle of Imperial Russia.

France - Gold 100 Francs Monnaie de Luxe

France has issued coins for about 2,000 years. Its modern political history has seen many changes. The coin shown celebrates 'The Rights of Man' and 'Liberty Equality Fraternity'.

French Oceania - Aluminium 5 Francs

Coins in the name of French Oceania were only issued between 1949 and 1952, with a number of piedfort patterns issued in 1948. From 1957, its name was changed to French Polynesia.
